Strawberry Cream Cheese Puff Pastry Sticks Ingredients
- Puff pastry sheets — To produce 15 sticks, you’ll need two sheets of puff pastry.
- Cream cheese must be softened before use, so remove it from the refrigerator at least 15 minutes ahead of time.

- Use whatever brand of strawberry jam you prefer. If you choose, you may add raspberry jam or another flavor.

Puff Pastry Sticks: How to Make Them
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Use a silicon mat or parchment paper to line a baking sheet. Set it aside until you’re ready to bake the twists you’ve made. If your puff pastry was frozen, let it to defrost for at least 30 minutes before using. Try this recipe if you want to make your own puff pastry.
Combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a mixing dish. Stir until everything is smooth and mixed.
Place one sheet of puff pastry horizontally on the counter. It’ll probably have some seams that need to be smoothed out since it was folded up. Smooth it out without pressing too hard.
Place a layer of strawberry jam all the way to the edge of the pastry sheet. Place the cream cheese mixture on top of the jam, taking care not to disturb it too much. Overtop the jam with the second piece of puff pastry.
Using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife, cut the pastry into 12-inch wide strips. Begin twisting once all 15 have been sliced. Twist the strip in opposing directions with one end in each hand until the whole strip is twisted. It should be placed on a baking sheet.
Combine the egg and water in a small bowl. Combine everything in a mixing bowl. Brush the egg mixture on each twist. This will help them get a lovely golden brown color.
Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the twists for 22-25 minutes, or until brown. It’s not necessary to turn them halfway through cooking, but it’s an option.
Puff Pastry Sticks: How to Serve

- 1 puff pastry sheet packet (2 sheets)
- 12 cup strawberry preserves
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Use a silicon mat or parchment paper to line a baking sheet.
- Combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a mixing dish. Stir until everything is smooth and mixed.
- Puff pastry should be thawed according to the package guidelines if it is frozen. One sheet should be laid out and the seams should be pressed out to make the sheet smooth.
- Place a layer of strawberry jam all the way to the edge of the pastry sheet. Top with the cream cheese mixture, taking careful not to displace the jam too much. Place the second piece of puff pastry on top.
- Using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife, cut the pastry into 12-inch strips. Twist the ends of the strip in opposing directions with one hand until the whole strip is twisted. Arrange on a baking sheet.
- Combine the egg and water in a small bowl. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
- Brush each twist with the egg mixture and bake until golden, about 22-25 minutes.
Notes
The length of time it takes to cook the strips will vary based on their width. Cook until the crust is golden brown and cooked thoroughly.
